Please read this entirely and carefully. If you are not comfortable with my TOS and/or are not willing to agree to the conditions, you may not request a commission.

I do NOT accept commissions from clients under the age of 18. You MUST be 18 or older to commission me.

I reserve the right to decline any project or client for any reason. This includes if I am not comfortable drawing said topic(s), theme(s), etc.

I deserve the right to post artwork I've done for myself and others across my social media. If you do not want the piece to be posted, it should be requested when commissioning me.

By commissioning me, you agree that you have read and accepted all the terms described.

By commissioning me, you are aware that you are purchasing my artistic services only. My services are strictly Digital Artwork, and neither the client nor I ever intend to ship or receive an item. My Artwork is NOT a Physical Good unless explicitly discussed or listed.

Violators will be added to my blacklist indefinitely and without warning.

I will NOT start a commission till I've received full payment. I do NOT do payment plans.

I am not responsible for any mistakes that are made on your part over the course of the payment.

After 100% of the payment is received, I will start sketching.

Repeated counts of commissioning a project and failing to pay will result in blacklisting.

I reserve the right to make changes to your request as I see fit unless otherwise discussed.

It is your responsibility to provide a proper reference sheet for your characters. This includes clothing, accessories, props, poses, etc.

If your character is extremely detailed, I have the right to charge a fee to include these details. This fee will be stated and updated on the proposal, if applicable. You have the right to make changes to your commission request (e.g., change the character, agree to simplified design changes) before the final payment is made.

Please be as detailed as possible. Reference pictures and pose ideas are very much appreciated. If you'd like me to take artistic liberty, please do let me know!

The responsibility is on you to ensure your order contains the details you want me to follow.

I am not responsible for any unsatisfactory element of the finished design if no feedback was given to amend it.

Each time I send a WIP, I expect you, the client, to provide feedback to me.

I will send a WIP (‘Work in Progress’) image after 100% of the payment is completed.

I will only send a guaranteed WIP for the sketch, but you are free to request a WIP at any given time.

These images will come in the form of .jpg or .png files via VGen Messages or Discord DMs.

Major changes are only allowed during the sketching phase; anything past that may result in extra fees. The changes you request will not be implemented until you pay the fee.

In the absence of feedback from you, the client, any changes to the final piece will be subject to a fee.

After the order is completed, minor changes such as color adjustments are allowed if the missing or inaccurate elements are my fault and can be discussed (e.g., I overlooked details provided in the order).

I will not redraw a completed commission unless payment is received for a second order.

You may check the status of your commission through my Trello or by contacting me directly!

I usually respond on the same day you send a message requesting a commission.

You reserve the right to set a deadline for your commission. This deadline must be disclosed before payment and will be subject to an additional fee.

I have the right to decline a project if there is too short a time allowance. I reserve the right to take up to 1 week to begin work on your artwork.

If due dates are discussed, it is your responsibility to ensure prompt communication. I will not be held responsible for late delivery.

No harassment over my work speed will be tolerated, regardless of the time that has passed.

I will usually work on commissions in chronological order, but I also work on commissions randomly. This means I will work on the piece I'm the most inspired / comfortable with at the moment.

You reserve the right to be notified of any delays.

Fees might vary depending on the project and the timeframe provided.

Dates provided are subject to change; details are to be discussed should the client have set dates.

Turnarounds can range from a few days to 6 months. It all depends on the complexity of the art commissioned, my current queue, and the fact that I have a full-time job. It can be very draining, and I do not have much time to work on commissions since it's an 8-5 job. I will mainly work on commissions during weekends. I have other responsibilities, but please don't hesitate to ask for WIP pictures!

You may use my artwork for personal use, including but not limited to: avatars, phone or computer wallpapers, and personal website/profile displays, but proper credit must be given.

You reserve the right to print or create an otherwise physical reproduction of the Artwork as long as it is for your PERSONAL use only (i.e., NOT for sale).

You may NOT use the Artwork for redistribution or external projects, commercial use (i.e., t-shirts, mugs, public flyers, etc.), or to profit off of it, unless otherwise discussed.

You are NOT allowed to change, modify, edit, or use my works without my permission.

You are NOT allowed to trace over my Artwork in any way, including the use of the artwork as a “base.”

You are NOT allowed to erase or draw over my signature/watermark.

NFT usage is strictly forbidden.

You are NOT allowed to feed my art into AI, or modify it with AI.

I reserve the right to sign and/or watermark my own work.

You are responsible for protecting your ownership over rights to a character design made by me by creating a copy image with your name added as well (i.e., through a watermark) when uploading on external sites.

I retain all copyright over my work, which includes the right to redistribute, reproduce, or use the image as a sample for sales or self-promotion unless otherwise agreed upon. In the case of a public commission, I may do whatever I wish with the art (e.g., post it to other sites such as Instagram, Twitter, etc.), but I will give proper credit to you for ownership of the character’s design.

In the case of a commission, I will not claim the rights to a character design unless it was one of my own designs. Therefore, I will not resell my artwork made for you, for personal or commercial projects, unless agreed upon.

In the case of an adoptable design, I will not reuse/resell the rights to the design once ownership is transferred to you, the Client. You retain the rights to the character design.

You can ONLY request a refund if the commission has NOT been started yet; otherwise, refunds are NOT permitted.

Once I complete the sketch, there will be NO REFUNDS.

I reserve the right to refund you the full amount paid if I no longer wish to work on your project for any reason.

You are NOT authorized to issue a chargeback for any reason.

If, for any reason, your payment method malfunctions or authorizes a refund request without your knowledge, you must contact me as soon as possible to resolve the issue.

You are required to contact me when you need to cancel a commission request.

I primarily use Discord (@madurenu), so you can expect a quicker response there, but by all means, you are also free to message me through VGen directly as well!
